Mainstream Weight Loss Program

If this is not your first visit to Mind Visualization, chances are, you are not squeamish about the words “self-hypnosis” and “mind control.” If you’re like me, though, you have friends and family members who cringe at the use of such words.

I have one such friend in my arsenal of friends.

She’s a childhood friend, so she’ gotten quite used to my language…somewhat.  At least, she doesn’t cringe anymore. Her eyes just glaze over, everytime I use such words.

This particular friend of mine has not ceased to intrigue me for the past few decades. She has powerful mind control; meaning that whatever she desires, she seems to get. The only problem, with her, is that she does not believe that it is her doing.

Or, Un-Doing

So, even her negative thoughts manifest fully and clearly and her conscious mind doesn’t know why.

Let me give you a little background.

  • Her weight loss regime consisted of heavy aerobics and weight-lifting.
  • She had been losing about 1-2 pounds a month until she plateaued.

She trained/trains (she’s still doing it) for an hour at the gym; at bare minimum, 4 times a week. She’s become addicted to exercise and, at times, can be seen at the gym 2-3 times per DAY!  And, yes, she has a full-time job.

In years prior, she used to be very sickly; constantly on medication (variety of allergies, high-blood pressure, cholesterol); not anymore. Great right! Not enough, according to her.

This is what she told me. Can you spot any discrepancies here?

  • She wanted to lose more weight and was frustrated that she couldn’t lose 5 to 10 pounds a month for all of the exercise she was doing.
  • But, she was upset that she had to purchase new clothes because of her past weight loss (1-2 pounds per month (total, approximately 10 pounds).
  • And, she refused to stop late night eating binges, restaurant buffets, coffee, pastries and chocolate habits.

Sometimes, I Just Have to Scratch My Head

Through the years, I have realized that this is a no-win situation but, if nothing else, I AM a trooper.  So, this is what I did to make it a winning situation, for me at least. I decided to engage her in a weight loss contest in September.

The Rules

She would continue to exercise like a mad woman. In addition, she decided that she would join Jenny Craig.

I would continue to go about my normal routine, which, as I mentioned, in recent months consisted of minimal to no exercise. I would also continue my normal eating habits.

But, I decide to use the ooh…MIND CONTROL program to prove to her that weight loss can be accomplished just by using the power of the mind alone.

In the same 3 months, she lost 15 pounds; I lost 17 pounds; very close. But understand that had I included exercise and better nutrition, you can be sure that I would have lost way more weight and gained some muscle mass.

Please don’t write me that I am anti-exercise or anti-nutrition. That can’t be further from the truth. I certainly AM a huge proponent for exercise and good nutrition but I am more of mind that true weight loss success comes from bringing each of the components of the mind body and spirit together.

So what did she do?

My dear friend couldn’t believe that I lost more weight than she did. In her eyes, didn’t do a lick of exercise, which pretty much, was true. She asked how I did it without setting foot in a gym.

Now, understand that my (using mind control) methods have not been a secret to her but she chooses to elect using her selective memory sometimes and ignoring that particular fact.

So, once again, I told her that I used subliminal self-hypnosis (CD) for losing weight.

Her eyes glazed over and she asked me if I wanted to join her gym.

I Give Up
